VINTAGE YEAR

From dinner with friends and family to the most memorable special occasions, we have been an important part of the fabric of Montgomery’s social scene since 1984. What began as Montgomery’s only specialty wine shop soon became a destination for gourmet lunches to accompany the shop’s extensive selection of wines. Soon dinner entrees were added and the rest is history.

Vintage Year has held the honor as one of the Capital’s favorite dining experiences for decades with over a quarter century of stories to be told. Over the years, the restaurant has changed ownership but the focus remains the same.

Proprietor Jud Blount has assembled an outstanding staff who is focused on one thing, you, our guest! Led by Executive Chef Eric Rivera, our team of Sous Chefs Brandon Morrison & Elliot Hagans, General Manager Lenard Flennoy, Assistant General Manager J.R. Williams and Bar Manager Kayla Treat are excited for what the future holds! 

Vintage Year's national press accolades include receiving mentions in the New York Times, PBS NewsHour, U.S. News & World Report, USA Today, Cooking with Paula Deen, Forbes, Garden & Gun and Newsweek Magazines. Chef Eric has also been recognized by the James Beard Foundation as a Smart Catch Leader for sustainable seafood sourcing and Blended Burger Grand Prize Winner. Additionally, Vintage Year is on OpenTable and Wine Spectator’s lists for Restaurant Awards of Excellence. Vintage Year is dedicated to providing guests with the finest culinary selections, premium coffees, specialty teas, outstanding wines and spirits along with unparalleled customer service.
